Rawhiti shares something about the work we are doing at the Centre for the Great Turning. These are words of a young adult. Words of our future educators and leaders and common community leaders , capable at many levels of regenerating culture toward the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
"I feel hugely grateful to the generous donations that made this Rewild experience possible for me. It has felt like a catalyst for stepping into a more mature version of myself. Valuable I think at any time of my life, but especially now in my late 20’s as I clarify what it is I want my life to look like and what the values and ideas are that drive me.
Within the container that was created over the 5 days I felt myself expand and grow in ways that are both subtle and powerful. I really believe that the safety to be witnessed and accepted with all that I am can not be taken lightly. It’s a rare space that allows me the chance to experience the richness of myself, others, and the wider spectrum of life in a deeper and fuller way.
I am gaining intellectual tools and understanding while also experiencing this from an embodied state to then integrate this knowledge and clarity into my daily life. I leave these spaces more connected to the truth of what I know I am and can be. There is a mystery within that, but I believe it is very much accessible to all people regardless of conventional or “unconventional” ways of living. It is my hope that through creativity, ecological connection, and honest compassionate expression, I can continue to step into these invitations for growth and self awareness which lead me to a more fulfilled and joyful way of being.
Thank you to those who see the value in this work and are supporting it, it is very much appreciated and acknowledged."
